This is how it got here.

From Texas to the pursuit of something more

I didn’t just stumble into welding; I pursued it out of a need to do things right. In 2014, I started at Dragon Products in Texas. I have always been obsessed with a flawless finish, and that drive propelled me from a green recruit to a welder in less than a week, and into a Quality Control role within my first year.

Yet, while I poured my best into those massive steel structures, I knew there was more to master. I was searching for a higher level of detail—a challenge that demanded greater precision and artistry. So, I packed up my tools and headed to Miami, fueled by a lifelong passion for boats and the hunger to begin a new chapter.

Falling for marine welding

By 2016, I was making frequent trips to Miami, juggling independent projects while constantly refining my craft. It was during these years that I completely fell in love with marine welding.

Working with piping and complex naval structures requires a unique finesse; every weld tells a story of endurance against the salt and the sea. Miami captivated me, and I knew deep down that this was the place where I belonged and where I would build my legacy.

Learning alongside the best

The year 2017 marked the beginning of a transformative era of growth and discovery when I joined Pipe Design. It was there that I learned what true excellence in the marine world really means.

Collaborating on high-stakes projects gave me the technical maturity and the confidence to understand that the smallest details are exactly what separate a common repair from a lasting masterpiece.

The birth of DCG Welding

In 2022, I took the leap and launched my own venture: DCG Welding. Working hand-in-hand with Pipe Design, we joined forces to tackle complex projects for the largest boat manufacturers across Florida.

What started as a personal challenge quickly grew into a name synonymous with trust. In this business, the best advertising isn’t bought; it’s earned, one perfect weld at a time.

The standard remains

Today, we design and fabricate—directly and indirectly—for the most prominent brands in Florida. The shop has grown, the structures are larger, and the projects more sophisticated, but our core philosophy remains unchanged.

Every bead that leaves our floor is held to the same standard I set for myself back in the beginning. If it leaves here, it has to be built to weather the sea and stand the test of time.

Anyone can lay a bead that looks good on delivery day. The salt decides who was actually right.
